Solid performance of Rodgers has Team Excited about Regular Season

Good luck finding an NFL quarterback playing better than Aaron Rodgers in the 2009 preseason.
The Green Bay Packers’ second-year starter has been nearly flawless in three games and has a staggering passer rating of 151.1 points, barely less than the maximum score of 158.3.
He and the starting offense have been almost unstoppable. In 12 possessions against Cleveland, Buffalo and Arizona combined, the Packers have scored nine touchdowns and a field goal, with the other two drives ending in a missed field goal and a failed fourth-and-one when coach Mike McCarthy eschewed a chip-shot field goal attempt.
The Packers no doubt felt good about Rodgers last season after his solid performance as a first-year starter, but his lights-out play so far has their confidence in him soaring.
“About as high as you can (get),” halfback Ryan Grant said. “He’s playing at the highest level he’s been at, he’s doing some phenomenal things. If we protect him he’ll be able to do anything he wants on the field.”
