Though Playing Well, Rodgers Must Work on Avoiding Sacks

Aaron Rodgers is putting up good numbers in his second season as a starting quarterback in the NFL, better than last year.
But he’s having trouble in one area that’s compounded the Green Bay Packers’ problems in pass protection. He’s getting sacked at an alarming rate, and while the pass blocking has been brutal, Rodgers shares responsibility for the league-leading 20 sacks the Packers have allowed this season.

Rodgers has been sacked 14 times in the Packers’ two losses, including Monday night at Minnesota, when he waited too long to throw on at least three of the Vikings’ eight sacks.
