- Charles Woodson sneaks in front of Detroit Lions receiver Calvin Johnson for an interception during the fourth quarter of Sunday’s game at Ford Field in Detroit. Woodson returned the interception for a touchdown.
“If there’s a defensive player in the league playing better than Charles Woodson right now, I’d like to know who it is,” the Green Bay Packers’ defensive coordinator said on Thursday afternoon shortly after Woodson’s latest dominant day helped the Packers put away the Detroit Lions.
“I’ve had two defensive players of the year, and this guy is having an outstanding year. All you’ve got to do is look at the stats today.”
They were staggering. Again.
