3 Keys to the Game for Packers vs Ravens

Here are Press-Gazette Packers reporter Pete Dougherty’s three keys to Monday night’s game between the Green Bay Packers and the Baltimore Ravens at Lambeau Field.

1. Who’ll make bigger play? Reed or Woodson?

This game features two of the NFL’s best defensive backs in Baltimore’s Ed Reed and the Packers’ Charles Woodson. Both are playmakers that can turn a game. 

Ed Reed levels Donald Driver in the last game that the Packers and Ravens played. The Ravens clobbered the Packers in primetime. Reed as as dangerous as Charles Woodson is back there, in fact moreso because he gets to free roam.

Reed, a safety, has returned six interceptions and two fumbles for touchdowns in his eight NFL seasons. The Ravens give him great latitude to roam and make plays. Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers always must know where Reed is when he throws.

Woodson is a candidate for defensive player of the year and has seven interceptions this season, including two returned for touchdowns, along with two sacks, four fumbles forced and one fumble recovered.
