~Minnesota Vikings quarterback Brett Favre does not plan to change the way he prepares for games or how he throws passes in the wake of a four-turnover performance against the Chicago Bears that gives him 21 turnovers in nine games.

Favre's still had some heroics this season, but he's on a record pace for interceptions. The Gunslinger is back.

“I’ve played a long time. My approach is the same every game, just like it was last year,” Favre said during his news conference today. “That can’t change. If anything, the last few years I’ve become more conservative.”

Favre, a noted gunslinger whose risk-reward play has made him the most productive quarterback in NFL history, has 16 interceptions and five fumbles after only throwing seven interceptions all last season.

“You have to play your game,” Favre said. “You can’t be concerned about who’s in, woulda, coulda, shoulda. That hasn’t changed for me. It won’t change.”

The 20-year veteran also said the right shoulder injury he disclosed after the Vikings’ 27-13 loss to Chicago is not an issue as he prepares for what could be his final game against his former team, the Green Bay Packers, Sunday at the Metrodome.
